この教材では、お花の模様を楽しめる切り紙を作ります。
紙を折って、パターンにそってハサミで切り、そっと開くと――
思わず「わぁ！」と声が出るような、美しい花の模様が広がります。
切り紙の一番の魅力は、この開いた瞬間の驚きと感動です。
今回ご用意したパターンは、どれも花がモチーフ。
①の線で半分に折り、④まで順番に折り重ねていきましょう。
不要な部分を切り落とし、ホッチキスで留めれば準備完了です。
小学生以上のお子さまなら、自分で折る工程も楽しめるでしょう。
紙選びもポイントです。
コピー用紙でも作れますが、4回折ると厚みが出て、ハサミで切るのが少し大変になります。
私は**色上質紙（薄口）**をおすすめしています。適度な薄さで切りやすく、年齢を問わず楽しく取り組めます。
【参考：一般的な紙の厚さ】
・一般的な折り紙　約0.066〜0.071mm
・藁半紙（更半紙）　約0.08mm
・色上質紙 薄口　約0.08mm
・中性紙コピー用紙　約0.09mm

For this project, we have prepared several flower-themed patterns.
Fold the paper in half at line ① and continue folding up to line ④.
Cut along the lines to remove the unnecessary parts, staple the folded paper, and you’re ready to go!
If your child is elementary school age or older, they will enjoy folding it all by themselves.
About the paper:
Although regular copy paper can be used, folding it four times makes it quite thick and harder to cut.
If the paper is too stiff, it may become difficult for younger children.
For this reason, I recommend using thin colored paper which makes cutting easier and is suitable for all ages.
Here is a reference for common paper thickness:
・Standard origami paper: approx. 0.066–0.071mm (0.0026–0.0028 inches)
・Washi-style rough paper: approx. 0.08mm (0.0031 inches)
・Thin colored paper: approx. 0.08mm (0.0031 inches)
・Neutral copy paper: approx. 0.09mm (0.0035 inches)

Note: If the paper is too thin or too thick, it may cause paper jams in the printer.
